When buying clothes, we consider appearance, comfort, size and price, often forgetting another very important point – fiber content.
We know that more then half of what we put on our skin is absorbed into the bloodstream. Most of non-organic and synthetic fabrics used in commercially produced clothes are treated with chemicals which are absorbed by our bodies on contact.
Organic and natural fiber clothing is made from earth-friendly materials and does not contain harmful chemicals.
Natural fabric is more sustainable. Producing it won’t require a lot of pesticides. Also almost 90% of non-organic cotton is genetically modified.
Natural fiber clothing is a better investment. It will last longer than and looks better. Unlike synthetic clothing which usually starts breaking down or melting and becoming really rough and itchy after a few washing/drying cycles.
